About Me
I was born and raised in Florence Oregon, and graduated from Southern Oregon University with my B.S. and my teaching degree in 2013 and my Masters in Middle School Science Education from WGU in 2021. I taught for one year in Alaska, and another at Mapleton Elementary, and have been at Siuslaw Middle School since 2015. The majority of my training is as an Elementary teacher, and you will see this reflected in my classroom. I am not a "scientist", but I love science. I always look forward to teaching science in a way that will help students love it as much as I remember loving science when I was a middle schooler at Siuslaw. I enjoy the outdoors, gardening, hiking, reading, spending time with my family, playing volleyball, and teaching!
Thank you for reading, I believe one of the most important parts of a teacher/student and school/home relationship is the relationship itself. I look forward to working with you!
